What aged players are appropriate for this program?

Community League is available for all players in 4th-12th grades.

Teams will combine 4th/5th grades, 6/7th grades, 8/9th grades and 10-12th grades.

What time of the year does this program run?

Season beings with player evaluations in April to split teams evenly. The official season begins the last week of April (weather permitting) and will culminate the middle of July. All games and practices are Monday-Thursday with the last league games at the end of June. There is 1 weekend year end tournament in July

Where are practices and games typically held?

Home games and practice locations still to be determined. Half the games are in Shakopee with the other half being in surrounding communities (ie: Eden Prairie, Edina, Chaska, Chanhassen, Carver, Waconia, Minnetonka)

When are practices and how often are they?

Teams will practice 1x or 2x per week.

How many games will they play? What days of the week?

Teams will begin the season with 2 practices per week for the first couple of weeks. After that teams will have 2 games and 1 practice per week.

Are jerseys provided or are they purchased separately?

A jersey and hat is included in the price of registration.

What costs beyond registration fees should be expected?

Equipment: Players will provide their own pants, belt, socks, glove, bat, helmet, bag and cleats. Most of these items are available at no charge through the SYBA equipment swap held during Travel Tryouts in March.
