DIBS/Volunteering

Ways You Can Help

Coaching: Volunteer to head coach and receive full dibs credit, hat, shirt, and more. Assistant coaches and/or team managers may also receive full dibs credit, hat, and shirt.

Team Manager & Video Streaming: Team managers help with scheduling team events, hotels, etc. Help with GameChanger and video streaming is also appreciated.

Tournament Volunteering: Families are required to fulfill dibs hours helping with the Shako Showdown baseball tournament.

DIBS

SYBA relies on volunteers to put on a successful tournament and jamboree. Without everyone lending a hand we would not be able to put on these events. Proceeds from the tournament are re-invested back into SYBA and go towards field improvements, equipment, field supplies, etc.

Dibs opportunities will be available during the Shakopee Tournament June 12-14 or the In-House Jamboree July 25^th-26^th.

An email will be sent when dibs opportunities are available.

In-House

2 hours of volunteering time is required for In-House. A max of 12 hours per family comprised of travel, in-house, and/or community league players.
If volunteer hours are not completed $250 will be charged to the credit card on file.
Head Coach plus 2 others selected by the head coach for assistant coaches and/or team manager will be awarded full dibs credits.

Community League

2 hours of volunteering time is required for Community League. A max of 12 hours per family comprised of travel, in-house, and/or community league players.
If volunteer hours are not completed $250 will be charged to the credit card on file.
Head Coach plus 2 others selected by the head coach for assistant coaches and/or team manager will be awarded full dibs credits.

Travel

6 hours of volunteering time is required for Travel Baseball. A max of 12 hours per family comprised of travel, in-house, and/or community league players.
If volunteer hours are not completed $500 will be charged to the credit card on file.
Head Coach plus 3 others selected by the head coach for assistant coaches and/or team manager will be awarded full dibs credits.
