SYBA Annual Meeting - August 19

SYBA's annual meeting is scheduled for Wednesday August 19th at the Shakopee Bowl.  There will be social hour from 6:00-6:30. Voting for board positions will also happen during this time.  The annual meeting will start at 6:30 and should last about an hour.

 

The following Board positions will be up for election:

 

  • Vice-president - position currently held by Jeff Schmitz
  • Treasurer - position currently held by Allen Larson
  • Travel Director - position currently held by Dave Johnson
  • In House Director - position currently held by Rod Hicks
  • Umpire/Fundraising Coordinator - position currently held by Chad Stensrud

 

All positions will be for a two-year term.

 

Association members seeking election to the board must notify the Shakopee Youth Baseball Secretary, Eric Schroeder, via email, at ericusmc1@gmail.com of their intent to seek election by August 12, 2020.  Candidates must also submit a position statement to the Secretary by the same date (see attached).  Only emailed requests will be considered for the position - verbal communications are not acceptable.

Applicants must also have passed a background check this past year before they are eligible for a Board position.  If you are interested in running for the board and do not have a current background check (less than 12 months old), please send an email to Jeff Schmitz at jeff.schmitz21@gmail.com telling him that you are running for an SYBA Board position and you need to complete a background check.  Jeff will email you back with instructions on how to complete a background check.
