Shakopee Youth Baseball Association (SYBA) will once again be holding a fall baseball league. The league is open to any player grades 1st-8th in the upcoming school year, including kids who have played travel, in-house, or never played at all. You do not need to be a Shakopee resident to play.
The following are the leagues we propose to have. Based on registration numbers we might be forced to scale back or cancel a league. A full refund will be given in case of cancellation due to lack of registrations.
We plan on playing 6 games beginning on Saturday September 12th and ending on Saturday October 17th. Games will be played on Saturday afternoons between noon and 6PM to accommodate for other sports going on at the same time. Location is Tahpah Park.
The fall league is meant to give kids a chance to extend their season and the goal is to have fun. Time limits for the games are 90 minutes. Because we will be having multiple games at each field this 90- minute time limit will be strictly enforced. At 90 minutes the umpire will call the game, no matter the score, who is at bat, or if it is in the middle of an inning.
Registration costs will be $50 per player for six games. Head coaches will be refunded the full registration fee and assistant coaches will be refunded $25 to ensure we have enough coaches for all the teams. Registration includes 6 games with umpires (excluding 1st and 2nd graders) and a fall uniform shirt. Hats are required but do not need to be Shakopee branded.
Players are responsible for bringing their own equipment. Due to COVID concerns players cannot share equipment. The following items are needed:

In the case of a league being cancelled due to lack of registrations, the full amount will be refunded.
Once it starts, if the league cannot continue due to COVID-19 restrictions by the city or state, no refunds will be given.
