Diamond Club Info
The Shakopee Baseball Booster Club, a Minnesota nonprofit corporation organized to enhance the baseball experience for the Shakopee Sabers, would like to invite you to help us reach our goal.
In 2009, a Diamond Club was formed to provide some of the "extras" for the Saber baseball players and to help provide facilities that are top notch. Warren Stemmer Field, dedicated in 2008, is a focus again this year. Last year, funds were used to help purchase a "Ryan Express" batting cage for this facility and a student section sign to be used at Schleper Stadium for the varsity games. Thanks to generous donations, plans to erect dugouts and a press-box will be fulfilled this year, but there are a number of items that we would like to add to enhance the player's and fan's experience at the games. The wish list includes:
* Additional landscaping/trees/bushes to provide shade for the fans and a backdrop for the players.
* Banners and signage recognizing past championships and school team and individual records.
*Completion of the press box, which will include areas for team photos.
* The addition of tables, bleachers, or a deck similar to the one at Schleper Stadium.
* Fixtures for the dugouts.
* Vines for the outfield fence
The Diamond Club offers recognition for various levels of support from a Single ($25) to a Walk-off home run ($500+). Members of the Diamond Club will be listed on a large poster at games held at Schleper Stadium, on signage at Stemmer Field on the high school campus and in the varsity game day program. We are planning to send members updates as these projects are completed.
Please consider joining the Diamond Club to support the Sabers of today and build on the legacy of Sabers baseball. Attached you will find a Diamond Club membership form with all needed information and a small version of the poster to be displayed at Stemmer Field and Schleper Stadium.
