Minnesota Baseball Academy will be offering a four-day camp at Hammond Stadium Baseball Complex December 27th-30th.

 

This camp is for Minnesota baseball players !

 

The Hammond Stadium Baseball Complex has been home to the Minnesota Twins since 1991 and will serve home to Minnesota Baseball Academy baseball for four days of intense instruction, daily baseball games and 1:1 sessions.

 

Instructors will include Minnesota Baseball Academy staff including owners John Anderson and Adam Barta along with former big leaguer Al Newman of the Minnesota Twins.  Additional instructors will include former Blizzard player and current Houston Astros player, Justin Gominsky, Mike Loberg (SF Giants), Lonnie Robinson (St. Paul Saints), Joe Dempsey (Sioux Falls Fighting Pheasants) and more.

 

All players will get a full dose of baseball from 8am-5pm every day going through the pre-season training, hitting and pitching mechanics and drills, arm conditioning, infield and outfield defense, live batting practice, in-game situations and daily live games.

ALL players ages 14-18 can sign up individually, as groups or full teams.  Players will be split up age appropriately before we arrive in Florida.  Save the date !

FLIGHT INFO:

The Minnesota Baseball Academy has reserved up to 30 seats on the Sun Country flights listed below for players that will be attending the high school spring training in Ft. Myers (December 27-30) By traveling in the group, each player will get to check two free bags, which will save each player $110 round trip alone. Seats are reserved for players, but may be open to parents if players do not take all of the seats by the deadline.

         * The fare: $630 per person

         * Includes 2 checked bags per person each way (each bag is limited to 50 lbs or they will charge you a fee at check in)

         * All people in the group must travel in their selected group flights (no changing flights - see below)

Step 3: Send your non-refundable check of $630 (made out to Brian Roseen) so that I receive it by November 21st.  Please be sure to note the passenger name along with your deposit check. I will not cash any check sent until November 22nd, so feel free to send in your check right away.

Players should arrive in Fort Myers, FL no later than the night of December 26th.  Players will be picked up from the airport by our staff and taken to the hotel.  Players should be flying back no earlier than the afternoon of December 30th.  As players start signing up, we'll get the best group rates for players (which may include flying into a separate airport.)  We will communicate as the camp fills.

About Us and Contact Info

Minnesota Baseball Academy was started in 2003 by Adam Barta and John Anderson in order to give kids an opportunity to compete on a level playing field with warm weather states.  By starting small and working with kids seven days a week, Barta and Anderson graduated some of Minnesota's most decorated prep baseball players including: Joe Loftus (Vanderbilt/DBacks 36th Round), Madison Boer (Oregon/Twins 2nd Round), Justin Gominsky (Minnesota/Astros 11th Round), Chase Hentges (KC Royals 14th Round), Pat Kelly (Nebraska), Lucas Scocchia (Oakland U.) and many more.
