Please arrive 30 minutes before your schedule tryout time for registration. Bring a copy of your birth certificate; wear appropriate clothing, bat, glove and turf/tennis shoes. All new or returning players are required to tryout and register online. There is a $50 registration fee. Click Here to Register Now! Also visit www.mnstarz.org for more information on tryouts, the Starz and the schedule for the 2011-2012 Season. Teams will be announced on November 28th on our website under the Roster tab. If you are chosen for a team you will receive the following training and instruction.
Winter Workouts - Winter Workouts will run from January 15th through March 18th. These workouts will consist of small groups of 6 based on position with instruction on fielding, hitting, pitching/catching, base running and conditioning. YOU WILL NOT RECEIVE BETTER INSTRUCTION ANYWHERE.
Starz (15u, 16u, and 17u) - The main focus for this group is to get them exposed to as many college and professional scouts as possible, so our players have many options to choose from when it comes time to decide where they are going to go to college. On a weekly basis the Starz will be put through a hitting and throwing program, train on arm strength and conditioning and work in groups on defense and pitching/catching workouts. The Starz are part of the charter program for the WSL. The Starz are the ONLY club in the state invited to play in this league. Click here for more information on the World Scout League. There will be an additional fee for the WSL and it is optional details to follow in January. Each player will also receive uniforms and practice gear.
The program will run from January 15th until the beginning of High School Baseball and picks back up after High School baseball is over and runs through the 1st week of August. Cost for those ten weeks and over 55 hours of instruction, tournaments and uniforms Starz program is $3,500.00 spread over 5 payments, scholarships available on a case by case basis.
Rising Starz (10u,11u, 12u, 13u and 14u) Ages 9-14 - The Rising Starz will play a more regional schedule against the best teams in the Midwest, with an occasional national tournament once a season. The program is all about preparing these players to become Starz players. We work very hard on developing the fundamentals that will allow these players to have success at a national level when they become Starz. The focus will be on the process of getting better every day in practice, and not on results. Each player will receive uniforms and Practice gear.
This program begins January 15th and runs through the end of May. The Starz does not conflict with Metro Baseball or Gopher State. Cost for those ten weeks and over 55 hours of instruction, tournaments and uniforms is $3,000.00 spread over 5 payments, scholarships available on a case by case basis.
If chosen for the Starz there will be a mandatory meeting of your choice on Nov. 29th or Nov.30th. Both meetings will begin at 7pm at Players Only in Eden Prairie and the 1st payment is due at that time. Expanded Coverage Area-The MN Starz will now have facilities in Eden Prairie and Maple Grove.

Holiday Camp and Showcase on December 27-28th. This camp will be held in the SCSU Husky Dome. The attached brochure will provide your team members with all the details.
In addition to the Holiday Camp and Showcase will be sponsoring:
- 4nd Annual SCSU Coaches Clinic on March 5th..great day to get fired up about the upcoming season! Staff special of only $25.00 per coach or $40.00 for one coach.
- March Spring Training Camps on Saturdays March 5, 12, 19 from 9am-noon..great three sessions for your players to get ready for the start of their season!
