Valley League
2011 Season Update
The Valley League is going through some very exciting changes. Due to very good sign up, we will be a Shakopee only league. We currently have 66 players registered and plan on forming six teams. We still have room so if you have a friend who is thinking about joining, tell them to hurry up and register.
In addition to playing the six Shakopee teams, you will play two Chanhassen teams once- one away game in Chanhassen and one home game in Shakopee.
In Shakopee's Valley League, 6th and 7th graders play together in the same league. We try hard to make the teams as equal as possible (same number of 7th graders on each team, equal number of kids that want to pitch/catch, etc). Rosters will be posted the end of April.
Season starts the first part of May and concludes July 21 with a 16 game schedule. The exact schedule is not yet done but should be available the end of April. The schedule is dependent on field availability. We try to have the majority of games during the week (Mon thru Thurs). We try hard to stay away from weekend but realize it may happen some. Usually we have two games per week.
We will have a year-end tournament the weekend of July 21. We also will participate in Burnsville's Border Battle (June 24-26) - a tournament with Burnsville and other surrounding communities (a big hit last year despite some rain).
